Hi, I am Julie and my husband is Alfie . We are the owners of Ed’s Shearing’s Dog Grooming Studio in Low Fell and Washington. Julie is a City and Guilds and Look North Dog Grooming Academy trained dog groomer. Alfie is a retired TWFRS fire fighter.
The business is named after Julie’s late mam, Edna, and our Cavapoo dog, Eddy, whom have inspired us to follow our hearts and open our very own dog grooming studio. We love spending time with dogs and making them look and feel fantastic.

The studio has the latest salon equipment, using bespoke shampoos, conditioners and other treatments. We have a relaxing reception area with tea and coffee and handy parking right outside our door. We are committed to offering a dedicated, reliable, friendly and flexible service.

Gateshead Studio
The studio is in the Primrose Window yard, underneath the Sparks gym and next door to Fire and Living. Primrose Windows have been trading for 21 years and the landlord/owner, Mick has created a diverse and bustling business community. The studio is fully open plan, so that we can fully interact with our doggy parents . There is a relaxing reception area, free tea, coffee and handy parking right outside our door in the yard. The studio equipment is of the highest standard to provide the best possible grooming experience for the dogs, their parents and us.
